BACKGROUND AND CALL
Born in Egypt of Greek/Australian parents, Kathy was raised speaking five languages that prepared her for her life’s call. At age 16 Kathy committed her life to Jesus Christ through the witness of Christian friends. Kathy’s career began as an embassy official with the Australian government. For six years she served in trade relations in Turkey, Cyprus, Israel and Greece. Returning to the Middle East, Kathy sensed God's call to become an advocate for the persecuted church.
SERVICE
In 1974 the Billy Graham team recruited Kathy to work as an interpreter at the Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization in Lausanne, Switzerland. Since then, Kathy has served as program director for three other world congresses. This work gave her the opportunity to travel in over 60 countries and work with hundreds of key Christian leaders from every continent.
Kathy has served in executive leadership positions with a number of international Christian organizations. Through these organizations, she spearheaded a number of strategic mission initiatives. One of these was the development of church partnerships working with fourteen different people groups throughout Central Asia, Siberia, China and the Ukraine. Most of these partnerships are in operation today.
MINISTRY FOCUS
Kathy is a mission strategist and a bridge-builder. Using her expertise in strategic planning she has helped over 300 churches become revitalized through a clear vision and strategy for mobilizing their congregation in urban and global mission. An ordained minister, Kathy is a frequent conference, church and Perspectives speaker presenting strategic, passionate and practical direction. Currently she is working with key ministries in Egypt and Turkey and mobilizing partners for a growing movement of women’s ministries serving in 22 Arabic-speaking countries.
